Green Deal Reports and Advice
Green Deal Reports

"The aim is that every single participating homeowner will save money."

Chris Huhne (Energy and Climate Change Secretary) on Green Deal Reports.

Green Deal Reports

As part of its ambitious targets to reduce carbon emissions in the UK by 80% before 2050, The new, coalition government have introduced Green Deal Reports.

The first step of the Green Deal Plan will be to compile a Green Deal Report. This will be carried out by an accredited assessor who can give Green Deal Advice and recommendations on your options within the Green Deal Plan. It is understood that many renewable energy sources as well as insulation and other energy saving measures will be included within the report.

Save money & energy with the Green Deal

Over half of a homes heat can be lost due to insufficient insulation in both cavity walls and loft space. Green Deal Reports will highlight to all homeowners and businesses ways to improve their energy consumption, carbon emissions and energy spend with no upfront cost.

From 2012 homes all across the country will be able to gain invaluable advice for energy improvements in their homes.

Qualified Green Deal Advice

"Our housing stock - the oldest in Europe - is costing us the earth. So we have set up the Green Deal to bring our homes into the 21st century."
Chris Huhne Energy & Climate Change Secretary.

Within the last 10 years, the UK and Europe have witnessed extreme weather events such as floods, droughts and wildfires. Now, for the first time, science tells us that as our climate changes the likelihood of these events also increases. Our Green Deal Advice will enable all homeowners to update their home to help battle climate change by reducing energy waste and carbon emissions.

Our Green Deal Reports will start with an Energy Performance Certificate. This Certificate will form the base of the report and enable the assessor to give relevant green home improvement advice.

The Green Deal Report will begin with a survey of the property and a review of your energy useage. We will not only look at current energy efficiency of the property but also analyse the current residents behaviour.

The impact and cost of all measures that would maximise the efficiency of a home will be clearly detailed within the report including those that may be available via Green Deal Funding.

Once the Green Deal Report is complete, if the homeowner wants to continue with their green deal plan it is then the role of the provider to give access to the funding.
